If you are a Driver: 1. Upload all the documents into the app where it says MANAGE DOCUMENTS. You will need to upload the following: ( License, registration, proof of insurance, SSN, pictures of the outside of your vehicle, profile picture, background check screenshot) please don't miss any picture otherwise you will not be eligible to drive. 2. Fill out the Background check found on our website. 3. Wait up to 48 hours to get approved
To take Background check you have to go to App.carmartt.com and click on the link where it says Background check after you insert all your information you have to pay $14.90 directly to Goodhire to get approved, it will take up to 48 hours to have a result and ready to drive.
Other companies like Uber and Lyft do not charge you for the background check. This is because it is included in their Driver fee's. They charge you anywhere from 25% to 40% per ride, we only take 10%. So any additional costs will be charged separately.
The wallet is used as an alternative method of payment for Riders who are going to use cash. In order to accept Cash Rides, Drivers are required to deposit a minimum of 15$ in their account. We require the deposit to keep track of your cash rides. Every time a trip is completed Carsmartt takes 10% from your wallet, for example, if you complete a trip of $10 we will withdraw $1 from your wallet. This may mean that a rider gives you extra money, in which would all go to you! *PLEASE BE ADVISED* The driver is responsible for the transaction between the Driver and Rider. We recommend asking the rider to pay for the fair before letting them exit the car to avoid failure of payment.
*Please Be Advised* We are different than Uber and Lyft, in about 45 days we will have the same method. Today you can request to get paid only after you've reached $100 or more in your account. Note that you can have an unlimited amount in your wallet. If you've reached the $100 mark, you will need to log in with your Driver Account login information on our website, the login is the same as the application login. From the website account, you will be able to see all your trips and money owed, if you do not have enough to reach $100 and you want to close the account you will be charged a $12.50 fee.
